Number Filter Grouping

Hi Guys,

Is it possible to group the number filters in some in Lotwin?

I have a fair few number filters and I know some will fail. These number sets are in groups and I know that I may have one number set that will fail out of the group, not sure which number set but that's what usually happens. I would like to be able to allow say 1 failure from the number set group.

I have a work around by having separate filter sets which represent the number set groups and these I load individually but this is slow and tedious, whereas to be able to set a number of failures at each group level would be useful to me.

Any ideas of how to speed up my process?

If this functionality is not available, would it be useful to anyone else.?

First of all, well done Dimitris!

Just a couple of questions:

I see that the line generation code is faster. However, the line reducing feature seems slower than previous versions. Has there been changes to the reducing line code?

Also (I may have brought this up before), when selecting the one-click option, why does Lotwin need to reduce the lines for 2, 3 and/or 4 matches twice? Once when doing the prediction process and another when the user selects which lines to choose.

Dimitris,

Is it possible to add the NOT Function (or add a SUBtract Function) to the "Already in memory list" section?

Why?

There are times when I'm using filters with the failure max/min option set and I want the lines that are generated removed from my current list of lines.

For instance:

Let's say I have 100K lines in memory.

I select cold filters with 15 filters to fail (19%). This generates over 2.1M lines.

I would like to remove any common lines from my list.

In the Advance Build Options:

AND - Keep the common lines (I want the opposite).

OR - Adds lines to my lines in memory (don't want that).

XOR - Exclude common lines (Yah!) but adds new list to previous list (Boo!)

In some cases there is a work around, but having the one button function would help.

Any comments?

New filter based on dates

Hi,

This is a fantastic software. I have few suggestions that can make this system more powerfull. Basically, i also use numerology when selecting numbers.

For example, if the draw date is 10th of the month , the sum of the date is 1 and number 1 will favour certain numbers such 1,4 and 5 thus the numbers to select will be 1,10,19,28 or 5,14,41 and 4,40,31 etc . Based on numerolgy, one number is favourable for up to 5 or 6 numbers and it gives some space to eliminate 3 numbers which may account up to 10-12 lotto numbers in a game:

eg: Number 1 is ok to play date sum of 1,2,3,5,4,8,9. Thus can eliminate 7 and 6 which are 7,16,25,34,43,6,15,24,33,42

You can run through the history of any lotto and u will notice that dates that total up to the same base such as 1,10,19,28 etc will share some 4 to 5 common numbers.

I wish that lotwin will allow an additional filter that will allow us to select the dates of the draw and potentially also the month of the draw. In this way we can locate some common pairs or tripplets which we can use specially to filter out numbers based on draw dates. This method is called seasonal analysis very commonly used in Asia for Pick 4 (0000-9999) and it works very well there and it also works for lotto....

1-Click Question For Number Of Draws

Hi, I just started using lotwin and it's awesome! It's so full of features it's going to take me a while to explore it all, but I have one question concerning the 1-Click feature - does the number of draws selected affect the 1-Click results or does 1-Click do everything automatically including looking at a certain number of draws? If the number of draws affects 1-Click, what would be a good setting for number of draws? Should it be all draws, or a multiple of the number of balls (since with more balls, I assume it takes more draws to draw all balls the same number of times)? Or should I use something like 100 draws? I tried to back test with a different number of draws, but I couldn't find anything that was more consistent.

[EDIT] I tried to use 1-click with different number of draws but the results seem the same - so is the number of draws taken into account with 1-click?

Unordered numbers

I was wondering where you place the value of unordered numbers in data and statistics probability and filtering.

I am new to LotWin, but have noticed that lottery software programs I am evaluating put little or no weight on the order in which numbers are drawn.

Do unordered numbers make any difference in calculating winning numbers?

A Few Requests For Dimitris

Hi Dimitris:

After working with the new version of Lotwin, I'd like to make a few suggestions:

1. Lotwin does not, and for a good reason, provide an analysis for built lines that exceed 10,000 in number. However, it could prove useful to have a birdseye view of what the big picture looks like when the line count exceeds 10,000. For example: A frequency count for each number, the pairs and/or triples that exceed/fall below a given frequency, etc.

2. When testing a strategy the user might want to refer to the "History", to check recent draws for the singles, pairs, or triples against what the analysis histograms show. Once the "History" window is active, it causes the other open windows to freeze. This can get quite annoying.

3. When checking lines for winners, there is a print facility. Invoking this can, in many instances, cause quite a lot of paper to be used. It would be helpful if the user could opt to print the list of winning lines to a file, where they can be seen right at the desktop . A great paper conserver.

I've been working with Lotwin since the mid 90's, and it's amazing to see how far it has come. I think you've done an awesome job, and it looks like you're closing in on the "Big One". Much success!

Reducing the Field

I tried something on a hunch with Lotwin and came up with some very interesting results in reducing the set of numbers to play over the next 4 draws.

Here is the sequence of steps:

1. After selecting your lottery, use Select Dates to set the latest date back to the 4th draw, (for purposes of testing the result).

2. Select the Hot Cold Filters and choose Cold Filters.

3. Select the lowest number, starting with 0, of Filters To Fail and perform a build. As soon as you get at least one set of lines with this filter selection, STOP.

4. Delete all of the filters used in generating the lines.

4. Using ALL of the numbers in the resulting lines, create a number set disallowing ALL of the numbers in the resulting lines.(I got as many as 19 lines in the NY 6 ball lottery)

5. Perform a build with this number set, reset the Select Dates to the latest draw and set "Use Draws" to the last 4 draws.

6. Perform a View and Check Lines. Determine how well you did in predicting the last four draws.

In the worse case, I only lost one number of the 6, while reducing the full 45 plus lines to 2 million plus with just one number set.

We would like to reserve this thread for displaying copies of winning (or really close to win) tickets so feel free to post a message about your win or how it got away some details how you selected the lines, email us the scanned image of the ticket and we will add it to the post.

We will start with a winning ticket for 4 correct in the UK National lottery on the 12th of July 2008

The winning numbers were: 16-27-28-29-30-42 bonus: 43 There were 26,707 winners with 4 correct sharing £2,003,025 (£75 each). The jackpot was £4,787,932.

The winning line was achieved but using a set of filters in LotWin 2008 lottery software and an Optimum Reduction for 3 correct which produced 47 lines. Using the Reduced Guarantee option in LotWin the user selected the best 12 entries that had the line of 4 correct you see above.

Getting 4 out of 5 or 4 out of 6. The Partial" AND"

Hello:

Here's an idea I'd like to share with the Forum group:

1.Choose one of the number of cold filters to fail and do a line build, (see video from LowinGuru)

2. Save the lines as A

3. Do the same for the neutral filters, (seperate build, options off). Save the lines as B

4. Many times we find that there are a considerable amount of 4 out of 5 (or 6 ) in each of the resulting builds. Specifically, A may contain many lines that have 4 numbers in common with lines from B.

5. I don't think that Lotwin has the facility to do the following, but maybe it's something Lotwin could look into:

Pass both saved lines through the following filter: For each line in A, if 4 out of 5 numbers in that line matches any 4 numbers of a line in B, then then the lines are saved into a new set called C, else the line is discarded. This operation can be thought of as a partial AND between both sets A and B. Note that we don't throw out the winner if it is one set, and any four number are present in the second set of lines.

6. The lines from C can now be reduced. It would be interesting to see if the chances of getting more lines with 3 or 4 correct could be increased with the smaller line set C, (full or reduced).

I would appreciate anyone's comments.

History Filter

LG, I really like the History filter, and I often use it to reject 4, 5, and 6 from the past 200 draws. Sometimes I will reject 5, and 6 for all the past draws, and this is accurate over 90% of the time for BC-49 and Canada 649. They both generate significant reductions. My question is.....can both be done, that is, can I reject 4, 5, and 6 for the past 200 draws, and additionally reject 5, and 6 for all past draws? Or do I have to make choice of one or the other? I have come up with my own filters - I am looking to find out how many lines these would create - any ideas?

Also, would it be possible to use these in Lotwin? It does not look like it...

No 2 numbers in a row
No more than 2 numbers within a 10 number decade` (ie 1-9, 10-19, etc)
2nd digit of number must only be used twice (ie could not have 26, 36, 46)
No more than 3 numbers within a 10 digit radius (ie between 23-33, we can only have 3 numbers)
Numbers must come from at least 3 of the `decades`
lines must contain at least one odd/even number

Lottery History Filter Question

When accepting/rejecting all 6 numbers for the History Filter, why does Lotwin need to check all 13M lines?

Since the history lines are already in memory, it should be a breeze to retrieve them.

LotWin 2008 is now available

We have managed to get LotWin 2008 online last night and if you have not upgraded yet please do by going to My LotWin Account and downloading the latest version.

The automatic upgrade is not working yet as there are a couple of things left to test and also we have not updated the Help file yet with the new features. So just download and run the new version and that will upgrade your copy.

New functionality in the new version includes the colour coding of past draws for every filter so you can see how it behaved in the past draws and also splitting the Hot filters to 'Overdue' and 'Long Overdue'. This by the way has been set by default to 1.5 times i.e. a filter is expected every 10 times, it becomes Overdue at 11 times not appearing and Long Overdue after 16 draws. You can always change the default as you probably know by changing the '0' percent value from the 'Line Builder' menu, 'Hot and Cold Filters' option, for example setting this value to 20% will change the above example to 12 for Overdue and 19 for Long Overdue.

At the request of the LotWin Guru we have added the 'Copy/Paste Filter set' option in the 'Line Builder' menu. This is a 'community' function meaning if you create an amazing group of filters, number sets etc... you can copy and paste it here in the forum, other LotWin users can copy it from here and paste it into LotWin and show the world how you can win the jackpot with only a few lines

By the way has anybody heard from the LotWin Guru? He was supposed to start his 'teachings' a couple of days ago. Last I've heard he was skiing in Switzerland. He is probably under a tree in deep meditation somewhere near the Med.

I hope you and your staff at Futuresoft are happy and well. I have been with you for a very long time. You know me well. LotWin is the best software. I have told you many times before. I have recently downloaded Hot and Cold Functionality in LotWin 2008. It is fantastic. You should make more LotWin Video I am currently running LotWin 2007. I followed your method that you described in LotWin 2008. Result is very good, I used Cold and Neutral, History Filters, even though lines generated are too many. You should teach your subcribers how to reduce lines and will hit the Jackpot.

I have also downloaded Hot Numbers.I then applied Cold and Neutral Filters, producing very good results.

Dimitris, I hope that you will release LotWin 2008 on the dot.
